I want to start getting into political books and learn about different ideologies and perspectives instead of only seeing one side. I’m interested in politics, geopolitics, philosophy, and philosophy of religion, and I’m also open to novels with political or philosophical themes.
I’m still pretty new to this stuff, so beginner friendly recommendations would be appreciated.

Been diving into political philosophy lately too and it’s wild how much perspective changes when you read different viewpoints 📚

For beginners I’d say start with something like “The Righteous Mind” – it breaks down how people form political beliefs in really accessible way. Also “Democracy in America” is classic but not too heavy, gives good foundation for understanding different systems.

If you want novels with political themes, “1984” is obvious choice but “The Handmaid’s Tale” hits different too. Both show extreme scenarios that make you think about current politics without being preachy about it 💭

Just remember to read from multiple perspectives like you mentioned – really helps avoid getting stuck in one ideology bubble!
