I’m trying to read more important books that I’ve previously disregarded.

I’d like to read something that is considered timeless and leaves you feeling better and happier.

Basically a book version of it’s a wonderful life Lol.

    Thanks so much

I’ve been on a similar classic book kick lately and one that absolutely wrecked me in the best way was *To Kill a Mockingbird*. Yeah it deals with heavy stuff but Scout’s perspective and Atticus’s moral compass had me tearing up multiple times – especially near the end when you see how much growth happens. The way Harper Lee shows human decency persisting even in dark times really restored some faith for me

Another one that fits your vibe is *A Christmas Carol* if you haven’t read the actual Dickens version. Way more emotional depth than any movie adaptation and Scrooge’s transformation is genuinely moving when you experience it through the prose. Plus it’s short so you can knock it out in a weekend. Both of these left me feeling like humanity isn’t completely doomed which seems like exactly what you’re after
