ISO Between Two Fires Adjacent Reads

I recently read Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman and I absolutely devoured that book. Started and finished in two days.

I’ve struggled to find interest in reading since leaving school, and I’d really love some similarly paced books to get me back into it.

Adored the writing style, the themes, everything. I love old fantasy, religious tones, horror, knights and dragons and all the typical DnD-style gunk. Once upon a time, I tried reading some Diablo books such as the Sin War Trilogy but ultimately got annoyed with repetitive and unnecessarily sexualized descriptions of women. I looked into some other books by Buehlman, but I loathe first person narratives and decided not to pursue The Blacktongue Thief or The Daughter’s War because of it.

Suggestions? I’d also really like some nice hardbacks without breaking the bank, but after researching The Red Knight by Miles Cameron I’m worried that might be too tall of an order. 😅 TIA
