Looking for something like friends go to a cabin or camping and it turns unsettling, or someone goes alone but still has contact/ comes in contact with nice people… atmospheric… preferably not with twists that make you roll your eyes

Stephen King’s “Dreamcatcher” has some whacky shit taking place in and around a cabin, but it may have too much of a supernatural bent for you, iirc. Still quite unsettling and an enjoyable read!
