But not necessarily Warhammer books.
My wife is looking for books with a similar tone. She really likes first person, charismatic clever protagonists, pulp-y tone.
She's already read part of Dresden Files and would like something a bit less chauvinistic.

Hmmmm
The first few books of The Chronicles of Amber might fit the bill. Unfairly forgotten series that started by blending noir mystery (sarcastic tough amnesiac detective) with high fantasy, and moved into some interesting family drama and creative world building while playing with tropes.
It is a bit chauvinistic though. Written in the 70s IIRC.
a lot of people specifically compare Cain to Flashman because Cain was partly inspired by it.Though Flashman himself is far more of an asshole than Cain, so it may or may not work for her. I think The Vorkosigan Saga has that same “clever disaster gremlin succeeds through charisma and improvisation” thing Cain has, my fav is The Blacktongue Thief it is a Dark world, but lively tone. then there are the Murderbot Diaries probably the safest recommendation I can think that hits the mark maybe The Lies of Locke Lamora not first person, but absolutely nails the “charismatic con artist surviving impossible situations” vibe, maybe The Greatcoats
If she likes swashbuckling charm and smartass narrators. and lastly DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL
