oh Between Two Fires was incredible, that book messed me up for weeks after reading it
you might want to check out The Devourers – its not exactly medieval but has that same dark atmospheric feeling with historical elements. also maybe look into some of the older gothic novels from 18th century, they have this creepy medieval-ish vibe even if theyre not set in actual medieval times
