I’d look myself but, since I am ignorant, idk what is good or bad

Idk anything about physics but I find the huge stuff like stars and space cool as well as the tiny stuff like atoms and photons really cool.

I would like to read about them but don’t wanna read outdated stuff.

Are there layman’s books on these topics that are educational or beginner?

If you don’t know anything about physics yet, two decent beginner-friendly books are:

      – Seven Brief Lessons on Physics by Carlo Rovelli
      – Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson

After those, Quantum: A Guide for the Perplexed by Jim Al-Khalili might be a good next step for the atoms/photons side.
Just remember that quantum physics is conceptually weird no matter how friendly the writer is. A total beginner can read it, but they may need to accept not understanding every paragraph perfectly the first time.

*Astrobiology* by Plaxco and Gross discusses very small and very large things, and starts from scratch.
