Hi there, looking for a suggestion to help me get back into drawing again. Besides being unmotivated to draw, I feel like I get too stuck in the details and I end up not drawing much at all. To that end I'd love something that focuses on loose and fun drawings that exaggerate prominent features on the subject (my favourite things to draw are characters and animals).

    1. I would say the Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand. He’s an architect and not an artist, but the way Howard Roark is dedicated to his profession is kind of inspiring. The political overtones are a little tiresome (not as bad as Atlas Shrugged though), but its a good story and a good motivated character.
