or dystopian. specifically ones that focus on the many reasons AI is garbage, but i'm also looking for ones that don't include any mention of AI at all. if it makes a point of how shit AI is but it's not sci-fi or dystopian, i'd like to hear about that too. preferably no spice. thanks in advance!

In Dune thinking machines are absolute prohibited: “*Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind.”* This was due to a historical rebellion against machines that made decisions for people and the technocratic class that created those machines.
Even the simplest calculators are prohibited. Instead humans have trained their minds to do the work of computers.

Smart Until It’s Dumb (2012) by Emmanuel Maggiori
“Rogue AI” is a very common trope.
Ones that come to mind are Neuromancer by Gibson andThe Prefect (first one now called Aurora Emergency?) by Alastair Reynolds.
But if you are asking about current “AI” trend, it is not even AI, it is text generators. You might consider anti-corporate satire such as The Circle, The Every, and Venomous Lumpsucker.
I assume you’ve already read parts of the textbook example of Isaac Asimov’s *Robot* series. *I, Robot*, *The Complete Robot*, *Caves of Steel*, etc
