Idk how to describe this, but light fantasy or sci fi stories that take place in only one person’s life?

I’ve been more of a movie person most of my life and am wanting to read more books. 4 of my favorite movies are The Truman Show, Stranger Than Fiction, Groundhog Day, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The thing they have in common, at least in my mind, is that the world is otherwise normal, but something unnatural begins occurring to one specific person, and the story is mostly about them just trying to get through or end the situation. A book I enjoyed recently was The Lathe Of Heaven by Ursula K Le Guin, which is pretty much what I just described. I love this style of story but have no idea what to search for to find books in this style. I’d appreciate any recommendations!
