    my goal this year is to use my phone less, and to do so, i wanna go down the "disgustingly educated" rabbit hole. i love reading and wanna start reading books that will help me understand the US a bit more, as i just moved here and everything is so politicized (for good reason), and i wanna be able to argue my beliefs with less opinions and more facts.
    a few topics id like to read about are:
    {healthcare and why its become a business, and how the US could do better}
    {understanding the economy and whos mostly in control}
    {why war is so profitable}
    {and just any book that i guess can help understand the corruption in the US and why the capitalistic nature of everything is so normalized}
    {good arguments for abortion and womens rights in healthcare}
    {how the patriarchy is present today}

    and any more yall feel are important reads. also dont mind reading opinions that oppose my own as i do wanna be open minded. my main hope is to read books that arent so blatantly biased or extremist, but moreso based on facts.

    final note, if you disagree with any of my opinions, thats okay and we can agree to disagree, orr you can send me some recommendations that help me see your pov!

    1. Dark Money by Jane Mayer is a really good introduction to the history of conservative super PACs and all the dark money shell companies created by billionaires and the impact they’ve had in politics over the past 50 years
