I would like to read about the experience, someone who knows they’re dying of a terminal illness, how they cope with all the stages from diagnosis to the end, their thoughts, fears, reactions from loved ones, etc. (Recently lost a friend to cancer, feel like this might help me in my grief)

We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman – maybe not exactly what you want, but the main character is dealing with her best friend’s cancer in hospice care. It’s a lovely and heartfelt read.
