Hi!
Because of my health anxiety I started to be really nervous in nature. I used to love woods and natural spaces, but now I only think about what could happen (in a bad way).
Can you suggest some books about making peace with nature? Fiction and non fiction accepted
Thank you ❤️

Braiding Sweetgrass so far has had that effect on me. There’s a chapter where she’s cleaning out a pond near her home and talking about all the different algaes and bugs and their roles in the ecosystem and considering her own place in that process as she tries to make the pond swimmable as non-invasively as possible
Maybe you would like “We Took to the Woods” by Louise Dickinson Rich or “My Side of the Mountain” by Jean Craighead George. James Herriot’s works are more centered on animals, but nature plays a role as well and they are very peaceful books.
The Nature Fix by Florence Willliams really changed my relationship with nature and the outdoors. It’s a nonfiction book about how nature is really beneficial for people physically, mentally, and emotionally.
