I read the time travelers guide to medieval england by ian mortimor. I loved how easy to read it was and how it went into details about the little, everyday things about daily life for working class peasants, merchants, mobility, and the clergy. It went into what they wore, fashion, social norms, what they ate, and quirks such as how they dealt with merchants trying to scam customers. Overall it was such a fun read. Are there any other books out there that's easy to read and provides an in depth guide to what life was like for people back then? I'm open to all areas of the world in all time periods, but would prefer if there was something related to the US colonies.
