Hello everyone, as the title suggests everything in my life is bad right now (grandma who raised me passed away, had an ER visit for an intestinal infection, on antibiotics that make me feel awful, hate most things about my job, my cat was diagnosed with a terminal illness and I am not coping well with it seeming like he’s on the decline)
Something hopeful, relatable or just comforting would be ideal! Many thanks in advance <3

Not fiction….but, When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron seems like an appropriate suggestion for you.
As for fiction, I was looking through my mom’s bookshelf recently and I stumbled on The Secret Life of Bees. I loved that book so much. I hope that’s not a heavy suggestion – it’s been quite some time since I’ve read it, but I remember it being a beautiful read.
I am so sorry that life is difficult right now.
