What to read after Lonesome Dove?

I’m sitting here in a Lonesome Dove hangover- still trying to process it all, but ready to dive into another book.

I never in a million years thought that a book about Cowboys and the old West would interest me, let alone become one of my favorites of all time.

Having said that, I’m not sure if I’m ready for the prequels or sequel yet – although I may go back to them at some point.

Any suggestions? I would love to read another classic but I’m open to anything!
