Hello! My 10 year old boy will be going into middle school next year and the last thing I want is for him to fall behind in his reading. He has done the usual of reading the hatchet in school.

Ideally, I am looking for 1 book per month, 3-4 books total.

His interests are in fantasy, video games, and animals.

thank you in advance for any advice ❤️ sorry if this post type is not allowed.

There is a wonderful author/content creator out of London named Claire Linney – she has all the recommendations.

    2. Let him stay up past his bedtime.
As long as he’s in bed reading a book.
      Works like a charm.

    3. The author of The Hunger Games Suzanne Collins has a series he might enjoy called The Underland chronicles. The first one is Gregor the Overlander. Basically Gregor and his little sister (she’s hilarious) fall into an adventure trying to find their missing father. There are five books in the series and you really get caught up in the story.
