Okay so this is a request that has a specific series of events leading to why I'm asking for something like this.
So I and a friend were talking a couple hours ago, and the conversation shifted to Carrie. And during the talk, my friend recommended a book to me called "The Weight of Blood." He thought it's something I'd like because it's an homage to Carrie except it's got a happy ending.
Except from my cursory glances at the novel, it still involves a bunch of innocent high schoolers dying. Minors getting killed is…always tricky for me. About the only book series I can stomach with it is Percy Jackson, and even then it's only because of that book series' specific context. Most of the time it's a huge turn-off for me.
Still it kind of got me thinking: are there any books like Carrie that have a happy ending and don't involve a bunch of murders? Preferably I'd like middle grade or YA books, but it's not a requirement.

Matilda, I guess?
What would a bloodless, happy-ending, version of Carrie even be? The cruelty of and to children is kind of the whole point.
A book like Carrie, except that it’s nothing like Carrie…? I guess do you mean a book abt bullying or adolescence or puberty?
So a book about a child or teenager with powers? Maybe The Wee Free Men? Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children? Maximum Ride?
