My son is nine years old and is pretty good at reading, but doesn’t really like to read. We want him to read more over the summer. I asked him what he would like to read and he said he’d like to read a book like The Mandalorian movie (which we just saw).
Could anyone recommend books that would appeal to a nine year old interested in movies like the Mandalorian?

Starting off with to be honest, I do not know anything about children reading levels. That said, Star Wars has a huge book franchise.
I’ve never personally read it, but I’ve heard Jedi Academy by Jeffrey Brown is a good graphic novel series recommended to kids. I really enjoyed the Han Solo trilogy, and that may give some adventurous vibes your son is looking for. There’s also just straight up Mandalorian junior novels.
I bet if you head over to r/starwarsbooks they’ll have lots of recommendations for you.
there’s tons of star wars books, There is a mandelorian movie tie in book. u/WiseLore4266 already gave you the reddit for that. And there are so many Star Wars books for his age, all the movie tie ins, you have no idea.
BUT he might just really love the Origami Yoda series. [The Strange Case of Origami Yoda](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7150174-the-strange-case-of-origami-yoda?from_search=true&from_srp=true&qid=FDceMJtpj9&rank=1)
My kid read the first murderbot book at around 9 years old and liked it
