Hi bookish friends! Roadtripping from IL to WA in a few weeks, taking northern route thru MN, MT, ID with my 63 y/o dad (might end up in WY for a few days too)

Hoping to get some recs for engrossing/interesting audiobooks that take place in those regions – could be fic or non-fiction, humor, bio, history, mystery, adventure – whatever. As long as it’s quality, I’m not picky!

    TIA!

Bill bryson has some awesome travel books. I don’t recall exactly where he went but The Lost Continent is one where he travels 38 states and small towns in America.

Not the right area but I would imagine Lonesome Dove would make an excellent road trip listen. And it feels like a Dad Book.

Reads like an old western but with a Native American vampire. The narrators of the audiobook version are so good.

      ETA: It’s set in Montana.
