I facilitate a caregiver connection group as part of my job. I myself am not a caregiver so I'd really like to get a better idea of what a lot of the participants may be feeling or what their lived experience might be like. I'm a big reader so that's why I'm inquiring for books, could be fiction or non fiction. I've also been looking over in the Caregiver Support Reddit group and reading posts there but if anyone knows of a good book I'd love the suggestion. Thanks.

Being primary caregiver for my dad for a few years really opened my eyes to how isolating it can be. One book that captured the emotional rollercoaster pretty well was “The 36-Hour Day” – its more practical but has some real talk about the guilt and exhaustion that comes with it. Also check out some memoirs by people who went through it, they tend to be way more raw about the day-to-day reality than clinical books
