Ironically, I am an English teacher, but I’m stumped … looking to gift my kids’ teachers a book each for end of year, probably with wine!

It’s something I’ve been bought in the past and enjoyed as a gift, but maybe that’s me? I don’t know. Is this a good idea? And any book suggestions?

I thought about the specific teacher interests but that’s too niche and I can’t necessarily recommend the book.

    1. “Angel Down” just won the Pulitzer and is available in paperback. It’s one that might be on their own English teacher’s radar, and the start of summer might be a perfect time to get it. I would aim for some Carl Sagan if they have a science teacher; “ Billions and Billions,” or “The Demon Haunted World.”

I would suggest a thoughtfully written card signed by you and your kiddo plus a gift card to a a local bookstore for so they can pick out the book themselves.

    3. Unless you know the teachers personally and know what (if anything) they enjoy reading, I’d probably stick to giving them gift cards for a small local bookstore instead!

If you’re set on actually giving them books, you could maybe try and find their Goodreads accounts to see what’s on their TBRs lol
