Looking for recommendations for really good short books (under 150 pages, english). Open to any genre except self-help.
Recently read White Nights by Dostoevsky and The Metamorphosis by Kafka. Currently reading Days at the Morisaki Bookshop and really enjoying the cozy, reflective vibe.
Would love books that stay with you even after finishing them.

this one is a very short story but a good read
I don’t know if I would consider them the best, but some shorter books that I would suggest are:
– ‘The Old Man And The Sea’ by Ernest Hemingway. (99 pages.)
– ‘Small Things Like These’ by Claire Keegan. (110 pages.)
– ‘Last Night At The Lobster’ by Stewart O’Nan (146 pages.)
– ‘Night Walks’ by Charles Dickens (112 pages.)
A short stay in hell is fantastic
Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck is great, you could read it in a day.
*My Sister, the Serial Killer* by Oyinkan Braithwaite
Technically more than 150 pages but each chapter is only a few sentences long so you can definitely read it in an afternoon. Very dark horror-comedy, but very funny.
