Books with a character similar to Dumbledore from Harry Potter (besides Gandalf)?
Can you recommend me some fiction book (can be any genre besides romance) with characters that are similar to Dumbledore? Characters that are the wise and very intelligent mentor figures?
The Dragonlance series has Fizban and The Forgotten Realms has Elminster.

*Charmed Life* by Diana Wynne Jones. There is an exceptionally gifted, benevolent but rather unpredictable older wizard with an unusual fashion sense. Not far from what you are looking for, I think. (The books are said to have had a huge influence on Harry Potter, and you’ll know why.)
