Lighthearted, cozy books set in non-North American/European countries

Looking for a lighthearted, cozy book that takes place in a non-North American/European country written by an author from that country.

Cozy mysteries, slice of life, found family, all the warm themes would be great! As long as they are written by someone from the country where they take place (and that country isn’t in NA/Europe). Books must be in English.

I should mention – I have already read all of the books in the No 1 Women’s Detective Agency series.
