Just read the hunger games, need another book

I just read the first novel of the hunger games and although I loved the beginning, the ending was underwhelming. I need another book like that. The aspects I particularly enjoyed were murder, the teen characters and the simple vocabulary. I’d want a bit more moral ambiguity and emotional complexity though.

Edit: the teen part is important. Also I’m not looking for futuristic books.
