So, I was thinking of starting to read some books for a long time and now I’m finally sure I want it. The problem is, I don’t know what would be my best option for a first book. I like world building, adventure, fantasy or not(depending on the specific book). Something that will really suck me into that world and make me want to never stop reading. I’m not really interested in romantical theme or similar things.

My go to book rec for people who want to get into reading is Holes by Louis Sachar, because it appeals to all ages, has really short chapters, and is super engaging! It’s not quite what you’re describing, but it’s a pretty safe bet for most people to enjoy. (My mom recently recommended it to my friend who was fairly skeptical, but said friend texted me last night to say that we were right, that it was amazing 😆)
The Harry Potter series got me back into reading after years of not being able to finish a book. It’s written for children so it’s an easy read. But the story is captivating for all ages. I loved the character and world building.
The widow by: Fiona Barton. The book is murder mystery and has lots on twist and turns you don’t expect. Something I really love is it’s a fast moving book with short chapters. I found it hard to set this book down. There is also 2 more to this series “The Child and The suspect” they aren’t linked to the first story besides two characters but each book is just a different story featured in each book. So you can read out of order but suggest reading the widow first because they talk about that book in the suspect. (Mention it 2-3 times)

How old are you and what things are you interested in? Thats very important cause maybe you won’t like the books other ppl do. I also reccomend to start with short books on wathever topic you like. ◡̈ .
