Looking for fiction books centered around Mexico and it’s culture

Sorry if this is a bad explanation, but I want to read something that dwells on things like growing up in Mexico and living in a Mexican family etc (doesn’t have to take place specifically in Mexico). Preferably a coming of age story that might make me cry lol

For reference, kind of like the way Khaled Hosseini portrays what it’s like living in Afghanistan in “A Thousand Splendid Suns”
