What would you recommend for a WORK book club? Thanks in advance!
**Do NOT want:**
* excessive smut/being the only plot driver
* sensitive or triggering topics like r@pe, other SA, etc.
* Long — over 350 pages is a lot to ask
* Recent releases — most of us use Libby so I want something accessible without huge wait time

**DO** want:
* Fodder for discussion, like moral/ethical dilemmas, character growth, plot twists
* Appeals to a wide audience, not niche topics that may alienate some
* Accessible, i.e. less than a month wait on Libby
* Moderately short, like under 300 pages would be ideal

*Past books we’ve read:*
* *The Maidens*
* *Anxious People*
* *Daisy Jones & the Six*

Maybe [To Be Taught, If Fortunate](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/68ab6936-20e3-4ffe-81c1-0eb67ae603f5) by Becky Chambers?
Remarkably Bright Creatures
All Systems Red
(*Long wait on Libby is totally dependent on your library. We have no idea of knowing how long the wait may be at your library vs ours.)
Looking for Alaska- John green
Kindred- Octavia Butler
If your group enjoyed The Maidens, you may enjoy one of Alex Michaelides’ other books called The Silent Patient.
I’d also suggest the murder mystery Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone.
Update: Pleasantly surprised with how quickly I was inspired from these few comments 🙂
I ended up choosing All Systems Red, Kindred, and The Measure (not listed here) for everyone to vote on! Thanks all.
