I know itโs a very oddly specific request ๐
Hereโs what Iโve read so far:
1. Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
2. The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See
3. How We Disappeared by Jing-jing Lee
4. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
5. Peach Blossom Spring by Melissa Fu
6. The Woman in the White Kimono by Ana Johns
Bonus points if the author is female as well!

The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
Is it alright if it was written close to the time it’s set (making it, I suppose, fiction that’s now historical rather than historical fiction)? If so, [The Makioka Sisters](https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/34449) is excellent, it follows four sisters from a declining aristocratic family in Japan during the 1930s.
And the [Crown Colony books](https://www.goodreads.com/series/207701-crown-colony) are good, they’re historical detective fiction featuring a young woman in 1930s Singapore.
