Hi guys! As you may gather from the title, I want a book about twenty-somethings trying to navigate adult life. I would prefer if they’re in college or have just graduated, but anything will be fine. I want the book to feature or discuss things like friendships, jobs, and relationships. I would also prefer if there are a few main characters (again, anything will do). I’m familiar with Sally Rooney’s works and have read Acts of Desperation and My Year of Rest and Relaxation. The books don’t have to be exactly similar to these, I just mentioned them so it won’t get recommended a lot in comments!
Please give me your recommendations! Thank you!🤍

Have you read Elif Bautman? Her books The Idiot and its sequel are the most accurate college books I’ve read and are definitely about figuring out your place in the world. Smart, funny, and thought provoking all at once. I recommend them!!

    2. {{Such a Fun Age}} has a lot of this. Be aware that there is a heavy focus on the black MC’s experience of racism so if that’s a bit too heavy for you you may wanna skip it, but I very much related to the MC’s struggle of basically “I have no idea what I want out of my life”

You’ll probably have already read Beautiful World Where Are You by Sally Rooney, but it fits your spec!

    4. The bell jar by Sylvia plath. Hits your specs and MC also suffers from depression like in the books you mentioned.

Mystics On the Road to Vanishing Point, John Robinson. It’s self published but I bought it from Amazon. I just found I really relate to those characters.
