My teenage son and I listen to audiobooks together, and we recently enjoyed the Murderbot series, especially for the humor. We just started The Blacktongue Thief because my son wanted something funny like Murderbot.
So. What books in the sci-fi or fantasy genres would you recommend that have good humor and would be appropriate for a mom and teenage son to enjoy together?
Bonus points if the book has little or no cussing, but I know that’s pretty rare in modern books.

hitchhikers guide to galaxy
Discworld by Terry Pratchett is probably the best humorous fantasy series of all time. It’s 41 books, but they’re mostly standalones and you don’t have to go in order.
My first was Pyramids, although Guards! Guards! Mort, and Wyrd Sisters also come to mind as good places to start. There’s any swearing but rarely enough that I’m not sure if it’s even in every book.
Why Hitchhiker’s and Discworld of course
Discworld is the best! Super chill little fantasy satire. Literally exactly what you’re looking for!
