I’m looking for sci fi recommendations that are centred on exploration and alien worlds/civilizations and less about conflict/war…

Ursula LeGuin’s sci fi series The Hainish Cycle might be a good pick. Especially the early ones which usually come as three in one volume – Worlds of Exile and Illusion. Also Left Hand of Darkness. Really all of them. They’re some of the best books I’ve ever read, and I’ve read them multiple times.
