Not looking for any fiction set during this period (roughly 476-1450 A.D.), but historical accounts. What people ate, how they built their homes, what a day in the life of a villein or freeman was like, religious beliefs, farming, community life, etc., as laid down by a historian who can bring life to the era and make me want to keep turning the pages. In short, something GOOD.
