Specifically families that are hypothetically close and loving but full of turmoil, I guess the word may be dysfunctional? Self help book or fiction maybe? I

It Didn’t Start With You was interesting. Non-fiction with some logical leaps. Has influenced my experience of my family. Made me more compassionate toward my parents. Made me more determined to overcome the shit they couldn’t/wouldn’t so I don’t pass it on to my kid.
