What I mean by “nothing is right” is I’m trying to find a book where nothing happens but misfortune, bad luck, or whatever other words can fit. A book where everything seems almost hopeless, probably. For some reason, I always get satisfied with these kinds of books. Recommendations/suggestions are appreciated, though.

A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. Technically children’s books, but so clever and well done that they are beloved by all ages.
