I’m currently reading “the only plane in the sky” and it’s great. It really focuses on the victims and unravels the events as the day unfolded.
Any suggestions on books about POST 9/11. Maybe about our society after or maybe the war in Iraq/Afghanistan

Directorate S: The C.I.A. and America’s Secret Wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan, 2001–2016
Author is Steve Coll, who wrote Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001
The former was published in 2018, the latter in 2005. Haven’t read either but I own Ghost Wars and it is close up on my TBR list.
