I’m trying to get into reading but i’ve only finished 1 book ever and it was for school and the last time i tried to read a book I enjoyed it but didn’t finish the last chapter. Should I read this book or look for a new one?

A colleague said he cried reading because the story was so touching. I cried reading it because it was so bad.
I am stupid enough to order both books and they are both atrocious. Don’t do it unless you have a lot of time to waste on bad writing. I trashed both of them.
