Hello book community- am seeking book recommendations that left you with a magical feeling, sense of wonder, or the giddy feeling you get when you think about something in a new way. I love highly conceptual novels that make you feel a little sad when you finish, because you can never read it for the first time again.
Love magical realism, weird, etc. Elements of fantasy or horror are great. Excited by extreme originality. Books that have made me feel this way- Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Reading House of Leaves for the first time and definitely feeling it there too (although the wonder here is also a feeling of dread- this too is welcomed).
Thanks in advance, hopefully we can have a fun book discussion here.
