In honor of cybersecurity awareness month, looking for a book as mentioned in the title. by sangat235
Hatherence on October 17, 2023 8:02 pm [Halting State and Rule 34](https://www.goodreads.com/series/52276-halting-state) by Charles Stross. I personally liked Rule 34 more and read it first. The two books work as stand alone stories. Not a novel, but a short story. [Unauthorized Access](https://www.lightspeedmagazine.com/fiction/unauthorized-access/) I have the book [Bleeding Edge](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17208457-bleeding-edge) by Thomas Pynchon on my to-read list which may be similar. Edit: [A while back I made a similar post here](https://www.reddit.com/r/suggestmeabook/comments/iolrxt/fiction_about_modern_internet_technology/) looking for gift recommendations for my dad. Not about cybercrime necessarily, but looking for accurate depictions of how the internet works.

I believe that The Passengers by John Marrs qualifies.
