Suggest me a book like Last Exit to Brooklyn

I don’t know why this book kept me entertained, but it did. I’m looking for books where it focuses on not good people or where nothing really happens. I can’t find any other books by him at my local library, they don’t even have American Psycho or Trainspotting, which I want to read next.
