I just finished Pillars of the Earth and loved it! I’m looking for another big fat epic tale. I’d prefer a stand alone book over a series so if anyone knows of a good one let me know!
I’ll assume you know he has another trilogy? I liked Pillars of the Earth better though. Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver is excellent.

The second book in the Pillars of the Earth series (Kingsbridge series) is also fantastic. Although they’re set in the same location, they’re 100 years apart so functionally read as entirely separate books.
