Books for boy entering 3rd grade

He is a boy I tutor. I tutor him mostly in math but I am helping his mom encourage him in reading. He likes Matilda and other books by Ronald Dahl. He is at expected level reading wise. He also likes Dogman and I told mom that graphic novels are a great entryway to reading because we want to encourage the love.

Any ideas would be great!
