Suggest me a mystery/light thriller/light horror book set in the woods/cabin/countryside

I just watched the X-Files Episode ‘Darkness Falls’ (that one, we’re loggers are killed by some glowing insects and Mulder and Scully are trapped at night in a cabin) and just love the setting.

Are there any novels which deal with this kind of setting – out in the woods, there is something mysterious/unkown in the dark; people are hiding/taking shelter?
