Hello, I’m looking for modern poetry books to read. For background, I gravitate towards emotional, straightforward, blunt, and introspective pieces.
I like the confessional writing and intensities of Sylvia Plath, storytelling and straightforwardness of Taylor Swift, as well as of Charles Bukowski. I also like Pablo Neruda’s emotional depth and Ocean Vuong’s raw honesty and contemporariness.
