I just finished reading The Martian and I really wanted to know what other books are out there with a story based in space but isn’t far from reality. (Was told The Martian is one of the most scientifically accurate stories).

You could try “Artemis”, which is about life on the moon and written by the same guy. “Fallen Angels” by Niven and Pournelle is another good one if you like the near future sub genre.
