    1. For sci-fi, Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

For comedy/fantasy, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

I’m currently listening to a tree grows in Brooklyn and I think it was very well done

    3. Dresden Files, Jim Butcher. The end of the Road , Tom Bodett. One For the Money, Janet Evanovitch. Only the ones read by Lori Petty. She’s perfect for the character. Wish she read all of them.

    4. I’m listening to Alexander McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street series. I like it so much that I’m on #7. The narration is great and I’m enjoying the lives of the characters. Quirky and fun!

    5. [Lying in Wait](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36373425-lying-in-wait) by Liz Nugent, [Strange Sally Diamond](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62322008-strange-sally-diamond) was good too but I really I enjoyed Caoilfhionn Dunne narrating Lydia in Lying In Wait.

      All of [Gillian Flynn](https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2383.Gillian_Flynn)’s books

The [Miss Fortune Mysteries](https://www.goodreads.com/series/109840-miss-fortune-mystery) by Jana Deleon are fun.

The [Chief Inspector Armand Gamache](https://www.goodreads.com/series/42154-chief-inspector-armand-gamache) series by Louise Penny will cover a lot of miles, good series.

Rebecca, and My Cousin Rachel by [Daphne du Maurier](https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/2001717.Daphne_du_Maurier)

*edited to add – The [DCI Logan](https://www.goodreads.com/series/266133-dci-logan-crime-thrillers) series by J. D. Kirk. I enjoyed it and now my husband is chuckling his way through it. Gritty, but with banter.*
