I have a book called The Novel Cute: An A-Z of Literary Remedies. You look up an issue (ie, being broke, grief, single-mindedness, claustrophobia) and it gives some recommendations to "cure" your problem.

So tell me what your problem is, and I'll see what Dr Book prescribes.
