I literally just finished Flowers for Algernon (absolutely loved it) and am now yearning for a new book to start. I tend to like science fiction books like Annihilation or even more so social science like 1984. I also prefer books that are in the 300-400 page range that hook you quickly. Any suggestions?

Maybe Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. I didn’t like it that much and it’s under 300 pages but it will make you think similar to 1984.
