I’m looking for some holiday themed books but I don’t really want to read books in a modern setting. I want things with fantasy elements. Like nutcracker Retellings or stories about Santa’s origins. Anything to get me in the Christmas spirit. Extra points for romance and spice but I don’t have to have it

The Autobiography of Santa Claus by Jeff Guin is a very fun read.
It’s a middle grade book but I loved it…

The original Nutcracker novel by ETA Hoffmann is fantastic. It’s what the ballet was based on.
